Sir Harry Gibbs National Moot Competition

The subject area for this moot is Australian Constitutional Law.

The Sir Harry Gibbs National Moot Competition is the only national mooting competition in Federal Constitutional Law. It is organised by the T.C. Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland and supported by the Australian Association of Constitutional Law.

The competition began in 2002 and is held each October.

A team of 4 students is chosen mid-year to represent UTS.

The 2008 competition will be held in Melbourne.

Academic Requisite:

To take part in this moot, it is essential that you have completed Federal Constitutional Law, and strongly desirable that you have completed Administrative Law.

The team is co-ordinated by Geoff Holland.
