Collecting Assignments
Please see important notices for marked assessments that available for collection from the Law Reception
- A notice is added as soon as the assignments are available for collection
- Any queries regarding outstanding assessments should be directed to the relevant subject coordinator/lecturer.
- Unfortunately LIO staff cannot check the availability of individual assessment pieces for students who telephone the office.
- In addition to this, as per university policy regarding the Privacy of Student Records, the Faculty is unable to release assessment results. This includes assignments, informal exams and formal examinations.
- When collecting assessment pieces, students are required to show their student I.D., or provide a signed original letter of authority if collecting on behalf of someone else.
- According to the Coursework Assessment Policy and Procedures Manual, "Faculties need to keep a copy of any authority submitted for a person other than the student to collect work submitted for assessment".
- The LIO keeps all notes of authority, and are unable to release assessment items without the appropriate authority.
- Past assignments are kept at the Law Information Office for one year, after which time they are destroyed.
- If an assignment is the final assessment piece for a subject, it will not be released until after the day the University releases final results for each semester.
