Academic Profile

Before joining the Faculty in 1999, Sharon Wesley worked as a solicitor in sole practice. She had earlier graduated from Macquarie University with a combined Economics/Law degree in 1987. Sharon also completed a Master of Education (Adult Education) at UTS in 2002.

Sharon has taught in the Faculty's unique Practical Legal Training (PLT) Program and in a number of Intellectual Property subjects. She is currently the academic co-ordinator for the PLT subject, Practical Experience, which involves the oversight of several hundred students each year undertaking 16-weeks of supervised, practical experience within the profession.

While Sharon's primary research interests are in practice-based learning and communication skills, she has also supervised research in the area of Animal Law.
