Academic Profile

Penny Crofts holds degrees from the Universities of Sydney and Cambridge. She is currently enrolled in a PhD at Griffith University considering Criminal Law Theory.

Penny has written and advised on the regulation of the sex industry. She has also written on the relationship of gambling and crime and is author of Essential Criminal Laws (which is presently in its third edition).

Recent areas of research interest include the development of a jurisprudence of disgust, particularly as it relates to the regulation of brothels.

Undertaking a PhD considering Criminal Law Theory at Griffith University.
