Academic Profile
Leanne Houston joined the Faculty of Law in 2003, having taught sessionally from 2000. Before joining the Faculty full-time, Leanne worked as an Associate at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Sydney. Prior to studying law, Leanne was a senior medical radiation scientist in the MRI and CT scan departments at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick.
Leanne's primary research interests are in health care law, with a particular interest in the role of imaging technology and the legal implications that may arise due to technological advancements. Areas of interest, in particular, involve the use of ultrasound, MRI, mammograms and CT scans.
Leanne is also a volunteer solicitor for the UTS Community Law Centre, Kuring-Gai campus and Editor, Halsbury's Laws of Australia - Law and Medicine.
