Academic Profile
Karen Bubna-Litic has an LLM from the University of Sydney, with a particular emphasis on Environmental Law. Since joining the Faculty in 1994, she has taught environmental law, tax law and company law. More recently, she has specialized in teaching environmental law to law, science and business students.
Karen was the Director of Research 2002- 05 and, during this time, established LawRN (the Law Research Network) with the aim of raising the profile of Law Research within the Australian research community.
Karen has been a visiting Professor at UC, Berkeley (1995) at Lewis and Clark, Oregon (1995), at the University of Virginia (1999) and at the University of Oslo (2006). She is co-editor of the Cambridge University IUCN Academy of Environmental Law Research Studies series and an associate member of the World Conservation Union (IUCN) Academy of Environmental Law. She is currently a Director of Streetwize Communications.
Current Research Activities
Collaborative project with the University of Oslo examining the role of mandatory environmental reporting in corporate social responsibility.
