Academic Profile
Since joining UTS as an academic some eight years ago, David Thorpe has taught in the subjects: Torts, Contracts, Criminal Law, Business Law, Legal Process and History and Sports Law.
His most recent research and teaching interests are in Sports Law (an expanding field within the commercial law setting that also includes a number of other areas of law, such as crime and tort). David is a member of the Australia-New Zealand Sports Law Association and a member of the Editorial Committee of the AN Sports Law Journal. He is co-author of "Sport and the law", Halsbury's Laws of Australia.
David also has a continuing interest in practical legal education.
